The fences have been taken off and we could see our finished house without any obstruction. .

Painters are on site today. They are doing a good job. . I must say!
I love Martini.. its going so well with white. I can see myself doing a lot of stuffs on wall, 'cos it will all match Martini..

After a long wait painters were back on site and did enough for the electricians to carry our their works.

All our down lights,  staircase lights, security systen and flood lights are in..

The bathroom vanities are all in.. and the feature tiles installation is also complete.

Kitchen cabinets have gone in.

We have had to change our selections for the alfresco and porch since the tiles were discontinued.

We went in for a walk through to have a look at the work completed so far.

The cornices have been installed. The tiling looks great. I am very happy with our selections so far.

 Cabinets - shared bathroom.

Yes, i see broken tiles ;) it will be fixed. The cabinets were supposed to go in first and then the tilings, but the kitchen guys delayed it and hence the mess
 

 

Powder Room with shower - they forgot to install the feature tiles in shower niche. I notified Tile Direct and they will fix it. 

 

 

 

Garage door

The contemporary garage door is in. We opted for the same colorbond color of the weatherboards. I think its looks really good. Can't wait for the Charcoal driveway so that it will all look perfect.

Lockup, Stairs complete, Rainwater tank installed

The doors have been installed. Eventhough we didn't get the door we ordered,  still okay with the alternate one. It will atleast match the stairs with timber and steel looks ;). The staircase looks complete except for staining.

I've been advised that kitchen is delayed by a week. Hopefully it will all be installed this week.

Master Bedroom - We moved it to the front of the house. I didnt expect the windows to be this big. Happy with it.

Gyprock

It's finally taking shape

Electricals, Insulation

Last week we had the electrical rough ins.
The timber feature went in and the insulations works were started. Gyprock is delivered on site and they should be on it this week.
Lockout for Friday. . Yeah.. getting closer and closer. ..

Scaffolding down.. :)

Scaffolding is taken down this week. Roof tiles were installed for alfresco and garage. As per the SS, electrical rough ins also starts this week. Rawson' s inspectors are also scheduled for this week.

Brick cleaning, Painting

There was not much work in site last week.
Half of the bricks were cleaned and painters were in to paint the weather boards,  eaves and downpipes. Its looking good

Eaves and Weatherboards are in

This week we had the carpenters come back on site to fix few windows. The roof rails are taken down. The eaves and weather boards are in. The cedar screens are fixed on one side. Brickies also should be back to fit window sils.

Next week is going to be a quiet one with the brick cleaners scheduled on Thursday and painters on Friday for painting weather boards. 

ROOF

We have a roof (happy dance). Garage and alfresco roofs are yet to be laid.

Bricking complete, Gutter and fascia installed

Here are some pictures. So officially bricking is completed. Gutter and fascia has gone in.

Roof tiles are delivered on site.

Upper storey bricking

Brickies were on site this week and they are close to completing the upper storey bricking. Its expected to be completed by Monday.

Scaffolding

Scaffolding went up last week. Ground floor bricking is close to completion. The pillars for alfresco is complete

Bricking

Bricking started on Friday and our house is slowly starting to take its shape. We drove to our site over  the weekend and saw brickies at work.

Happy happy so far.

Also had a chat with my SS and he reckons this should be complete in two weeks, provided it doesn't rain.

Bricks Delivered, frames completed

Bricks got delivered today and brickies will start either tomorrow or the day after.

The garage and alfresco frames are put up and officially its completed. The laundry doors and glass splashback in kitchen is also fixed.

Second storey frames

Second storey frames started yesterday (2 Aug 2013)
SS told that it should be completed by Monday/Tuesday and bricks arrive on Tues/Wed.
Btw, we had to change our bricks selection again because Boral was able to find a stock of Blackheath for us.

Frames

The frames are up. Its exciting to see the house taking its shape slowly. The windows and stacker doors are also delivered on site.
